In the spirit of belonging….I want to share how lovely this sharing has been…Thank you! I also want to share that I am a woman who does not have children…not by choice, but circumstance. You mentioned “As a mother” you think about what legacy you will pass on. You also said mindfulness became cuddling your child after giving birth, that mothers breathe for their child, etc. These are all things I have wanted deeply to experience and have not had that good fortune. I just wanted to share this so when you share so much about motherhood, that you hold that there are many of us who struggle to “belong” in an often mother/baby focused world. I also honor the beauty and learning you and many have by raising children.
That was insightful and uplifting both personally and professionally! Thank you.

As presence is critical for our students’ learning, how do we support educators to be present for their students virtually?
Focus on watering the helpful seeds- soak in the joy. I used to think that mindfulness was to be more aware of my actions and savouring the environment through the senses now I think that the action is also important.

I used to think mindfulness was being present in the moment. I plan to better practice, model, and teach “practice the reframe.”
It is a part of who I am. Teaching is “telomere gardening” Part of who we are and what we do.

I see mindfulness more now about the self-expansiveness idea – not closing in and tuning out, but being gently open to a fuller experience.
