Thanks so much. I’ve being listening de Thupten Jimpa when following Dalai Lama and learning more about compassion and meditarion. All start with Francisco Varela (RIP) movie when he talk’s about his life short time before live his body. I have being learning and Thupten Jimpa is so clear and he express much ideas in a simple way. I feel really touched by his warm hart helping much of us about compassion and much more from budist power and so full of love religion and way of live a meaning life. Hello there,
I am Jackie originally from Vienna in Austria, living abroad for over 13 years, currently residing on the Canary Islands in Spain. I’ve experienced alienation with other quite often or maybe only the ingroup and outgroup factors due to the fact that I am always the foreigner. I’d like to share that I was able to learn a lot from your teachings. Especially the ones from Thupten Jinpa. It gave me input to think and contemplate in a different way. I am practicing Vipassana meditation daily for over six years and still find it difficult to understand what love, compassion and true empathy are. So with your remarks I have new input to work on.
I’d like to add that in my case the pandemic also gave me new possbilities for instance, joining this Summit and a lot of other interesting contents which are now held online, which I would have never been able to attend before.
So thank you from human to human.
With Metta. Jackie
I myself feel compassion really helped me in these difficult times and I also feel its key as the Dalai Lama said “compassion is the recognition of the suffering of self and others with a deep motivation to relive it”
