Learn A Mindful Self-Compassion Practice You Can Do Anytime, with Natalie Bell

The benefits of Mindful Self-Compassion are becoming more widely understood, both in research settings and by an increasing number of people incorporating it into their lives. Whether you are one of those people yet or not, the practice below is a great way to learn more about Mindful Self-Compassion, and to experience its immediate benefits.

In this 10-minute video, Natalie Bell, certified Center for Mindful Self-Compassion teacher, introduces the three components of self-compassion: mindfulness, common humanity, and self kindness. She then leads us in a practice that encapsulates all of these elements called the Self-Compassion Break — which you may find helpful in this moment, as well as throughout your days.

As she says, “What’s beautiful about this practice is that it can be utilized at any time during the day, informally, on the spot; whenever you’re noticing struggle; whenever you’re not feeling good about yourself; whenever something happens that you don’t expect, and you’re noticing challenge.”

For those interested in going further into the study and practice of Mindful Self-Compassion, we want to let you know about some opportunities starting next week! The Center for Mindful Self-Compassion is offering Live-Online Mindful Self-Compassion trainings taught only by Certified Mindful Self-Compassion teachers over 10 weeks.
